The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) toward the cost of the Enhancing Climate Resilience of Water Resources in the Mkondoa Catchment (ECRWRMC) Project. The project aims to strengthen climate resilience in the catchment by improving water monitoring infrastructure, enhancing early warning capabilities, integrating monitoring data into decision-making platforms, and building capacity of technical staff and community on water resource management, climate change adaptation and mitigation measures. Part of this financing will be applied to payments under the contract for consultancy services covering feasibility assessments, preparation of designs, specifications, and tender documents, supervision of related works, capacity building of technical staff, and data integration for hydro-meteorological and water quality monitoring systems in the Mkondoa Catchment.
