• The Government of Kenya (GoK) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the National Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (NAVCDP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract of Moiben –Kaplolo Water and Irrigation Project in Karuna Meibeki Ward Moiben Sub County Uasin Gishu County. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing.

• The Department of Agriculture and Agribusiness, Livestock Development and Fisheries, County Government of Uasin Gishu, now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Moiben kaplolo Water and Irrigation Project in Karuna Meibeki Ward, Moiben Sub County, Uasin Gishu County that includes majorly; dam Rehabilitation, Elevated press steel tank, Pipeline and pipework, Solar array and water pumps. The time for completion is 180 days.

• Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” First Published July 2016 and Revised Fourth Edition November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
